Acceptance Action Coaching, Therapy and Training
Click here for general information about Acceptance Action Coaching, Therapy and Training.
There are many differences between Acceptance Action approaches and other approaches. One of those differences is the added focus on acceptance as a resilience and relationships tool and a means of achieving mind-set changes (changing unconscious beliefs) and empowering strong actions.
From a therapist perspective, other acceptance-based therapies include Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Mindfulness. Research carried out to date demonstrates Acceptance Action Therapy (AAT) is significantly more powerful and effective than other therapies.
Acceptance Action Trainings
The prime Acceptance Action Training for coaches, therapists and trainers is the full ‘Positive Mind Training’ webinar-based course, comprising five 90 minute webinars. Click here to see more details of a stand-alone Introductory webinar. A bonus for current readers of this AAACTT site is, for the time-being, this webinar is free. Click here to see further details and to register.
The webinar-based training is presented by Graham W Price, developer of Acceptance Action Coaching, Therapy and Training.
For therapists, the second half of Graham’s book ‘Acceptance Action Therapy’ gives examples of applying AAT to a number of mind-based issues.
Further Acceptance Action trainings are available to members of AAACTT. All AAACTT trainings contribute to the ‘Continuing Professional Development’ (CPD) obligations of therapists.
Joining AAACTT
Joining AAACTT gives you an entry in the ‘Find an Acceptance Action Coach, Therapist and Trainer’ directories on this site and access to further Acceptance Action Trainings. To join the association, you need to have:
Requirements for Joining AAACTT
For coaches:
Must have attended the full Positive Mind Training course comprising five 90 minute webinars presented by Graham W Price, an equivalent seminar-based training, or an equivalent non-English Acceptance Action Training, approved by AAACTT.
For therapists:
- Must have attended the full Positive Mind Training course comprising five 90 minute webinars presented by Graham W Price, an equivalent seminar-based training, or an equivalent non-English Acceptance Action Training, approved by AAACTT;
- Have read at least the second half of Graham’s book ‘Acceptance Action Therapy’ that gives examples of applying AAT to a number of mind-based issues;
- For the time being, possess another recognised therapy qualification and belong to another recognised therapy association. The reasons for this are:
- In line with all other therapies, there are a few issues that require other specialist tools to achieve a complete resolution. Prime examples are currently PTSD and insomnia. Trainings for these and other exceptions will be made available to AAACTT members shortly;
- AAT training doesn’t yet incorporate general therapy training such as ‘relating to clients’, ethical principles, use of empathy, etc;
- AAACTT doesn’t yet have protocols in place provided by other major therapy associations such as disciplinary guidelines and procedures.
For trainers:
- Must have attended the full Positive Mind Training course comprising five 90 minute webinars presented by Graham W Price, an equivalent seminar-based training, or an equivalent non-English Acceptance Action Training, approved by AAACTT;
- Enter into an agreement with AAACTT. Contact enquiries@AAACTT.com for details.
PMT Forums
Whether or not you choose to join AAACTT (for access to the directories and further Acceptance Action Trainings), you’re strongly advised to join the PMT Graduates Forum following completion of the full ‘Positive Mind Training’ 5-webinar course.
This forum is a means for PMT graduates to share experiences, re-inforce the PMT learnings, provide and receive support and learn more. Graham uses the forum to provide his support and further training and to interview experts in related fields.
The forum is not a vehicle for coaches, therapists and trainers, or any other businesses, to directly promote their services. Nevertheless, input to the forum by professional members will highlight their knowledge and skills and may encourage other forum members to seek their services. For coaches, therapists and trainers, those services can be promoted by joining the AAACTT which includes an entry in the relevant directory on this site.
Please complete the form to the right to join the AAACTT.
Click here to join the PMT Graduates Forum once you’ve attended the full ‘Positive Mind Training’. There’s a cost of membership of £20 (US$26) per month. That’s currently discounted to £10 (US$ 13) if you join now. That discount is for life as long as you remain a member. Click here to join.
Acceptance Action Coaches, Therapists and Trainers can also join a free PMT forum called ‘Amazing Lives for All’. This free forum is for graduates of the PMT Intro webinar who haven’t yet attended the full PMT training. Acceptance Action Coaches, Therapists and Trainers may wish to join this free forum to support, mentor or contribute to other members. Again, direct promotion of services is not permitted, but contributions can attract other members to seek your services. Click here to join the free Amazing Lives For All forum.
